Visioning A New Park On Chadwell Drive
The Civic Design Center worked with ZMX Inc in 2021 to develop design concepts for a future park at the intersection of Chadwell Dr and Westchester Dr. To Advance these concepts, the Civic Design Center and Council Member Nancy VanReece worked with Amazon to provide a grant for this project. The idea for this initial proposal was to create a vision that could be used to advocate for the creation of a future park that would connect this development, formerly the Nashville Memorial Hospital, to the existing neighborhood which would also create a strong multimodal connection between the Kemper Heights & South Madison Neighborhoods.
Provide your thoughts and join the Civic Design Center and other neighborhood leaders in an effort to advance schemes that can lead to the construction of this new park.

Designing The Street: 2nd Ave N Community Meeting
On October 20th join the Civic Design Center along with Metro Nashville Planning, NDOT, GHP, Wilmot Inc, Hawkins Partners, and Kimley-Horn to review and comment on the current draft concepts for 2nd Avenue, 1st Avenue, and Riverfront Park.
These draft concepts continue to build upon previous community and stakeholder input, as well as the Urban Land Institute Advisory Services Panel recommendations and, are beginning to take shape. This event will allow for public feedback and reactions to the various designs that relate to the design of 2nd Ave N from Broadway to Union as well as Riverfront Park and 1st Avenue.
