Veronica Foster is the Communications + Advocacy Manager for the Civic Design Center, where she is the mind and pen behind the organization’s voice, managing strategic messaging across all departments. She also manages individual donor relationships for the organization.
Veronica studied Cognitive + Brain Sciences and Urban Studies at Tufts University in Boston, connecting the built environment experience to our brain waves. After moving to Seattle, Veronica managed marketing, sales, and programming for a coworking community. There, she cultivated a community of professionals using public process techniques that are regularly used in urban design projects. At the Design Center, Veronica is most passionate about sharing community stories and empowering Nashvillians to advocate for their visions. Outside the office, Veronica is on the Board for Nashville Design Week as the Communications Chair of the organizing committee. She also loves to host a theme party, play fetch with her cat, and sit on her front porch with a good book and her husband, Gavin.
What Veronica Does at the Design Center:
Veronica manages strategic messaging across all departments of the Civic Design Center. This means that she has connections to the Design Studio work, our Design Your Neighborhood and TURBO programs, and every event that we host at the Design Center. That means she can probably help direct your questions if you don’t know who to ask! If you are interested in getting more involved with the Civic Design Center, Veronica can help you figure out how you might be uniquely poised to become an advocate. She also manages individual donations through our membership community that sustains the work of the Civic Design Center.
