Growing up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and raised by parents who loved the outdoors, this brought Kali close to a city with so many different cultures and people. It was hard not to be curious, leading her to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Plant Sciences with a concentration in Sustainable Landscape Design at the University of Tennessee. Kali is currently continuing her education pursuing a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture also at UT.
Kali’s primary motivation for pursuing a Plant Science Bachelor’s and a Masters of Landscape Architecture is her belief that everyone has the right to access healthy green areas no matter where they live and believing that everyone's voice should be heard and valued in the creative process. Kali’s approach to design is rooted in understanding who you are designing for and the place in which you are designing.
Whether it's cooking, experimenting with bread baking, golfing, or indulging in some retail therapy, Kali spends her free time exploring various interests. Her journey is guided by a commitment to merging creativity with purpose, both in professional endeavors and personal pursuits.
