Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs. We have adapted the format to be an online tour where you will see three neighborhoods, led by some of Nashville’s community leaders.
On the first weekend of May every year, Jane’s Walk takes place in hundreds of cities around the world. Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbors.
During the current “Safer at Home” orders, we are modifying the usual Jane's Walk format to enable us to practice social distancing by using Zoom. We will have 3 tour guides and one host that will be moderating the tour and asking questions to the tour guides as they come in from the online audience. The tour guides will be using their phones to show off their neighborhood.
